There has been significant progress in the UK towards gender equality – the UK has closed 78% of its gender gap, ranking 22nd out of 146 countries.
But significant gender disparities still exist both within the UK and internationally, including the gender pay gap; occupational segregation; access to leadership positions; maternity discrimination; work-life balance, and lack of representation. A UK Parliament index predicts that at the current rate of progress, it would take 132 years to reach full global parity.

The Pipeline
At HUMAN, we work with employers such as yours to challenge and modify stereotypes, social & class discrimination, and hidden negative cultural practices. We promote confidence, resilience, stress management and gender inclusion.
Our workshops recognise and support intersectional gender inclusivity – making considerations towards the diverse and overlapping experiences of individuals based on their gender identity, while also taking into account other aspects of their identity, such as race, ethnicity, class, sexuality, and disability. This perspective acknowledges that people’s lives are shaped by a combination of social, cultural, and economic factors, and that these factors interact in complex ways to impact their experiences and opportunities.
We give participants the opportunity to share their own experiences of facing and addressing gender discrimination, to open up a dialogue, and plan strategies to overcome bias and break the glass ceiling. We explore gender steretotypes, the relationship between gender, power, and privilege, and how to develop a healthy work-life balance. Learners work together to envision their ideal working environment, and to develop a strategy to bring that to life in their own organisation.
